Well, I hooked up my HDHomeRun this afternoon, upgraded the firmware, installed TSReader Pro and voila, within 30 seconds I was tuning and recording with the HDHomeRun. TSReader Pro integration made it really easy. Select the HDHomeRun 8VSB Profile (Also has QAM Profile), select tuner(s), add channel descriptions (4.1 WXYV ABC), select channel(s) and click OK. Enter filename for recording mux and 3 hours later I have 3 recorded episodes of Ugly Betty in 720p HD (and also got the SD program in the mux).
Has an EPG you can use to schedule recordings by double clicking the EPG item. Very cool indeed. OH-this was on my XP workstation. I just tried it on Win2K and worked perfectly. Was even able to cap a show on this ancient Pentium 2 700 MHZ Laptop I use for internet! Thought it would choke to be honest. Unfortunately cannot watch the cap on this machine though. Gotta replace this Dell Inspiron soon.
Tomorrow I will try the QAM tuning/recording with TSReader Pro after using VideoReDo to trim and demux the episodes.
