Cant tell what tractor I have
| phillip | I have a tractor that looks like a naa type but serial numbers dont match.My stamp on engine flat has 40303s and under it is 161879 with diamonds on both sides.please help! |

Serial Numbers 9N, 2N, and 8N Ford tractors: produced from 1939 to 1952 The serial number is located on the mid-left side of the engine block on an approximately 1/2'x 3' vertical flat. The serial number is hand-stamped onto the vertical flat, not cast into the engine block. Format is model designation before sequential production number. Serial numbers for the 9N and 2N Ford begin with the designation '9N.' Serial numbers for the 8N Ford begin with the designation '8N.' Golden Jubilee and NAA Ford tractors: produced from 1953 to 1954 On early production models, before serial number NAA-22239, the serial number is located on the left front corner of the engine block, just below the manifold. On models serial number NAA-22239 and beyond the serial number is located on the left side of the transmission housing, above and to the rear of the starter, just below a 3'x 6' horizontal flat on a 3/8'x 3' semi-vertical surface. | Ernie | This info you provided has helped me also. I have a 1821 industrial backhoe/loader 4 cyl, gas tractor 4x4. I can't seem to find anything about it in any of the forums. It must be a very trouble free unit or the only one around. |
